Wired for What?
Wired for What? visits four very different elementary schools grappling with computerization to find out if technology is helping to change our schools for the better or if it is dulling students’ creativity and draining precious resources from other crucial educational needs.
As schools across the country are racing to connect themselves to the World Wide Web and upgrade to the latest technologies, little is being done to assess the usefulness of high-tech devices in improving education. This film encourages parents and policymakers to take a hard look behind the hype before plunging headfirst into a campaign to wire schools.
